How a lottery draw works: from buying a ticket to the results
How a lottery draw works on X2 LOTO: tickets are accepted until sales close on the timer, then the draw takes place, the result is published on the website with the draw number, date and winning numbers, and winnings are credited to your game account automatically. Below is the path of a ticket that applies to all six draw-based lotteries: Tap-1, Tap-2, Tap-3, Tap-4, Magnificent Eight and 4 of 20 + 1 of 5. The rules of each game are published on its own page; here we describe the procedure common to all of them.
What a draw is and how often it takes place
A draw is a single drawing of a specific lottery. Each draw has its own number, date and time, and every ticket is bought for a specific draw.
The lotteries have different schedules:
- Tap-1, Tap-2, Tap-3 and Tap-4 — every 4 minutes, around the clock;
- Magnificent Eight — every 15 minutes, around the clock;
- 4 of 20 + 1 of 5 — once a day.
The time left until the next draw is shown by the timer on the lottery card in the draw-based lotteries section and in the header of the game page itself.
Ticket sales: until closing on the timer
First, you mark numbers on the coupon — yourself or with auto-pick. The Magnificent Eight rules state directly that the way numbers are chosen does not affect the probability of winning.
Then you choose the number of draws: in any draw-based lottery, a ticket can be bought for one draw or for several consecutive draws at once, up to five. The numbers will be the same in all of these draws, and the price is multiplied by the number of draws. You can buy up to 100 tickets with any numbers in one purchase.
Under the rules of the Tap lotteries and Magnificent Eight, a ticket is considered accepted for a draw when the purchase is confirmed, the price is debited from the game account and the ticket is assigned a unique number in the operator’s information system. The Magnificent Eight rules also list what the electronic ticket shows: its number, the draw number, the date and time of purchase, the price, the chosen numbers and the participation status.
Ticket sales close before the draw. The time until closing is shown by the timer in the lottery header.
How a lottery draw works: the drawing and the winning numbers
Winning numbers are determined in every draw. How many there are and from what range is set by the lottery rules:
- Tap-1 — one winning number out of 36;
- Tap-2 — two numbers out of 15;
- Tap-3 — three numbers out of 12;
- Tap-4 — four numbers out of 11;
- 4 of 20 + 1 of 5 — 4 numbers out of 20 in the main field and 1 additional number out of 5;
- Magnificent Eight — the player marks 8 numbers out of 20 in the first field and 1 number out of 4 in the second, and the prize category depends on how many numbers in the first field match and whether the number in the second field matches.
In the Tap lotteries, the order of numbers does not matter: a win occurs when the chosen numbers fully match the winning numbers, regardless of their position.
Who is responsible for the draw? The lottery rules, draw terms and the procedure for forming the prize fund are set by the organizer, SE “State Lottery Company”. The results of draw-based lotteries are generated by a certified system, and the X2 LOTO games and platform are certified by the GLI, BMM Testlabs and TRISIGMA laboratories. Where to see the latest draw and results
Results are published on the website right after the draw. The easiest place to start is the “Draw results” page: it is updated after every draw and shows, for each lottery, the number of the latest draw, its date and time, the winning numbers and a timer until the next one.
From there, you can go to the archive of a specific lottery via the “All draws” link. The archive contains:
- the latest draw with its number, date and numbers;
- a list of past draws, newest first;
- how often each number was drawn in the draws shown.
Frequency is reference statistics on past draws, not a promise of a win.
Look for your tickets and their outcome in the “My tickets” tab on the lottery page. The same page also has “Winning numbers” and the “Latest results” block.
Calculating winnings and the progressive jackpot
After the drawing, the draw is calculated. How the amount is determined depends on the lottery.
Tap-1, Tap-2, Tap-3, Tap-4. The prize is fixed and is a multiple of the ticket price: ×30, ×90, ×150 and ×250 respectively. If the winning combination is on several tickets, each of them receives the full fixed payout regardless of the number of other winners.
4 of 20 + 1 of 5. Tickets that match 2, 3 or 4 numbers out of 20 win. The prize fund is split between categories according to the lottery rules, so the amount depends on the number of winners in the draw. Matching 4 numbers in the main field and the additional number is the jackpot. Details are on the 4 of 20 + 1 of 5 lottery page.
Magnificent Eight. Nine prize categories, from “4 + 1” to “8 + 1”, each with a minimum prize amount. The categories are mutually exclusive: after a draw, a ticket belongs to only one of them. The full table of categories is in the “Prizes” section on the Magnificent Eight page.
The last two lotteries have a progressive jackpot: if nobody wins it in a draw, it rolls over to the next one. The current amount is shown in the lottery header.
Winnings are credited to your game account automatically after the draw is calculated, usually within a few minutes of the drawing. You do not need to submit a claim for your winnings. You can withdraw money from the “Wallet” section: withdrawal requests are reviewed, usually manually.
Play responsibly
You can take part in lotteries only from the age of 18: your age is confirmed by verification, and without it you can neither buy a ticket nor withdraw winnings. A lottery is entertainment with a chance to win, not a source of income. Decide in advance how much you are ready to spend, and remember: the timer until the next draw does not oblige you to buy a ticket.
